A Bright Future Beckons.
A bright future, in more ways than one, looks assured for our club as the new indoor season approaches. A new carpet is to be laid in September and any imperfections in the wooden base will be corrected during the renewal.
The lighting has been considerably improved and is now well above recommendations in all areas.
Our Board have renegotiated the building lease which runs for a further 15 years guaranteeing members excellent prospects for the club in coming years.
Grand Opening and Open Evening.
Greg Harlow, the current WBT World Indoor Singles Champion, will be at the Grand Opening for the new carpet at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday 3rd October.
If you can't make the above then we have an Open Evening on Wednesday 13th October from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. You can have a look around and try the game for yourself

We always give a warm welcome to new members. If you want to drop in during opening hours you can have a look around and pick up a membership form.
If you join early you will have an excellent opportunity to get fully involved with all of our activities. We also provide free coaching for beginners if you are new to the game.
Bowls Courses for Beginners
We have two Indoor Bowls courses, run in conjunction with West Sussex County Council Adult and Community Learning, planned.
Both courses run for five, 2 hour 30 minute sessions. The first starts at 2:15 p.m. on Monday 11th October for 5 weeks. A further course starts at 7:00 p.m. on Monday 7th Feb 2011. These have proved to be very popular with students in the past.

Potters Success!
Congratulations go to our members Jill Pendrill, Dave Evans, Dorothy Armstrong and Bryan Armstrong who won the Open 4's final at Potters on Friday 30th April.
They beat a team from Eastbourne in the all Sussex final!
League Entry forms.
League entry forms for next season are being distributed and are due for return by 1st March. I want to play in a league forms are also available for next season.

Bowls Courses.
Indoor Bowls beginner courses, run with the West Sussex Adult &
Community Learning Service, begin in October with 4 courses running over
5 weekly sessions. These have proved very popular with participants in previous years.
The start dates for courses are 12th Oct (14:15 to 16:45); 10th Nov (19:00 to 21:30); 11th Jan (14:15 to 16:45); 16th Feb (19:00 to 21:30).

Public rinks and bowls are available if you want to try the game.
